ABOUT ME
Music has been my passion and my life's work. With 15
years of teaching experience, I have honed my skills as an instructor and become a mentor to many students. My love for music began at the young age of 4 when I started playing piano and at 12, I began playing viola. By the time I was 19, I had my very first student and since then, I have taught at several different music schools and coached many middle school, high school and college level groups. I am dedicated to providing a fun and engaging teaching experience and helping my students reach their full potential.

TEACHING
During my undergraduate studies, I began sharing what I knew and learned early on. I started teaching with my first student at the age of 19. Quickly I accumulated students throughout different music schools and privately. While teaching privately, I was also coaching youth string sectionals at the local youth orchestra as well as coaching young chamber groups. This continued into my graduate studies where I was fortunate enough to teach students and chamber groups at the undergraduate level. During this time was also when I was asked to be the Music Director of the Campus Strings Orchestra, which was the community string orchestra held by Western Michigan University. Currently living in Grand Rapids MI, I'm assistant conductor and coach for the Grand Rapids Community College, a coach for the adult chamber music workshop Chamber Music for Fun held by Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, as well as having my own private music studio.
PERFORMANCE
My experience as a professional musician includes performing with renowned orchestras such as the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Civic Orchestra. My love for chamber music has led me to play with various groups across the country. I am also proud to have won the solo string competition at the Orfeo Music Festival in Italy, showcasing my talent internationally. I have also done collaborations with groups such as Gold Company and Last Gasp Collective in Kalamazoo, MI where I both performed live and recorded in studio.
